Double-sided film adhesive tapes usually have carrier systems made of PP or PET film and are among the most stable types of adhesive tape due to their tear resistance.
Nevertheless, thin PP films in particular adapt flexibly to the substrate. Film tapes are therefore universally applicable and, with the appropriate carrier and pressure-sensitive adhesive, are also suitable as mounting tape.
The adhesive coating is firmly held together by the film carrier, which also enables further processing into very narrow cut rolls or cross-wound spools.
Similar to fabric adhesive tapes, double-sided film tapes can also be equipped with two different adhesives. They have the additional advantage that the pressure-sensitive adhesives are clearly separated by the film and no connection of the different bonding properties can occur.
